10 out of 10 for Travel Consultant, Carolyn Mackay. I recently had to organize a study tour in Quebec for a group of ten people in the middle of January. I needed to spend a few days in both Montreal and Quebec City and wanted to minimize local transportation once there as we had to rely on taxis. I was also mindful of the joy of traveling in Canada during the Winter. To make things harder my delegation was traveling from six different airports. I turned to Carolyn for help. First, she found top hotels walking distance from my primary meetings. She negotiated excellent groups rates, which in one case, included a full buffet breakfast and parking. She made the train arrangements from Quebec City to Montreal. I was pleased, this was lining up to be an excellent trip. A few days before the trip, a severe winter storm was forecasted for Quebec and Atlantic Canada. Out of my group of ten, two could not make it. The other eight had to alter their travel plans. This is where Carolyn really stepped in and saved the day. She got people in hotels sooner or extended their stays. In all cases, she dealt with all the rooms that had to be re-booked or cancelled.
