What 130 Years Means Onboard

HX's anniversary traces back to 1896, when DS Lofoten departed mainland Norway on what's considered the world's first expedition cruise. To mark the occasion, HX has added heritage touches to its 2026 sailings, including a limited-edition 1896 Cocktail, an anniversary menu inspired by Norwegian cuisine, and the 1896 Cabin aboard MS Fridtjof Nansen — a one-night experience recreating a 19th-century explorer's quarters.
