Hi Nancy: Just wanted to give some feedback on our Celebrity Eastern Caribbean Cruise. We never did get our luggage tags, but had no problem at the port. Embarking was smooth and efficient. Our sunset veranda room was roomy and very comfortable. The Eclipse is beautiful. We were able to appreciate the intricacy of the decor styles and the fine fabrics used throughout. The collection of onboard art was also beautiful. Evening theatre productions were excellent. Service was fantastic at every turn. Nearly always the food was very good, but not exceptional. We attended a specialty restaurant once and had favourable results. The islands were beautiful and the weather was great, averaging 83 degrees. In St. Thomas we took a boat over to St. John. That was very nice. In St. Maarten we took a sightseeing, shopping and beach excursion. Air conditioning and audio equipment on the bus did not work well at all, but made for an interesting experience. All excursions were through Celebrity. Having done that once, we would most likely take care of our own excursions on a subsequent trip. The pools on this ship are quite small, and as on trip advisor, getting lounge chairs was difficult. Most often available chairs were 3 decks up from the pool. Not too big of a hardship though. We only used the pool once. Disembarkation was also smooth. Overall a good travel experience. We would consider cruising again. Having experienced the opulance of Celebrity, the standard has been set for either another Celebrity cruise or maybe Royal Caribbean.
